Existing Claimants with a 10yr soft touch.

Hi
A couple of years ago I had my PIP reassessment which resulted in receiving a 10yr soft touch, now the government, mainly Sunak, describes everyone as part of the " sicknote" culture, assuming every person who receives PIP as fit for some sort of work regardless of their problems.
This voucher scheme is ridiculous, almost everyone who receives PIP uses part of the cash to life a slightly better life or more normal life, guaranteed what may be in these catalogues will not be what most PIP people spend their money on.Will this also be the Labour Partys way forward!! who knows.
Final part, what happens to people who have knew or existing long term claims prior to the start of 2025 when they want to enforce this change,do they have to abide by the written letters with the length of terms set out by their PIP assessment

You can't be found fit for work for PIP because it's not about your ability to work. The proposals for PIP changes are just that, proposals and nothing further has been announced. As we have General Election at the start of July those changes may not even go ahead.

As Poppy123456 has stated, PIP has nothing to do with your ability to work or not work and the proposals you have likely heard about are exactly that…proposals only at this stage.
Nothing has been set in stone yet and the whole plan could be watered down, revised, put on hold or scrapped altogether for something else.
It’s easy to worry when hearing and seeing all these stories though and I know it’s easier to say than to do, but honestly there is no point in worrying about it at the moment.
