Pip tribunal
Hi,
I’ve just had my pip tribunal hearing via phone call, the judge said he’s going to make a decision today and I’ll receive a letter with the decision in about a week
Does any know how long I’ll have wait for it to be uploaded on the tribunal webpage? Anxiety at an all time high today 😩
I’ve waited 11 months from first applying for pip to tribunal hearing and don’t want to wait a week for the letter (post is hit and miss in my area sometimes I receive post soon others I wait days for letters)

HI @busyMum16 I'm glad the tribunal is over for you now, how did it go?
Unfortunately because of the backlog, it can take a week or so for the letter to come through, but please try not to worry too much, it will arrive! The worst part is over.0 -
Usually within a few hours, providing you were able to track the appeal online.

I have a question not sure if anyone knows the answer though 🤦♀️
I thought the tribunal was only interested in you health/disabilities at the time of the decision?
When I had my tribunal they only asked questions about my struggles after the initial pip decision was made like 4 months after the decision.
They weren’t interested in the aids I use and needless to say they refused my pip application. The questions the disability expert asked was all 4 months after pip was refused she was extremely hostile and not very understanding
I’m still waiting for the refusal letter to arrive0 -
They are supposed to take into consideration what your condition was like at the time the assessment took place. However, there's also a forward test they consider too. You must expect your difficulties to last at least a further 9 months, if that was in question then maybe that's why they asked those questions and why you were refused.
You can request the Statement of Reasons and Record of Proceedings within 1 month of the date of decision. Once you receive those you will need to find someone to take a look to see if they can find an error of law. If they can't then you can't proceed any further with this claim. This is beyond the capabilities of Citizens Advice so you would need to find another agency.

thank you for that information
I don’t have the energy to fight them I will just accept their decision

You're welcome. I'm sorry you were refused after waiting so long. It's very difficult to advise without knowing everything about your case. It's also difficult to advise whether there would be any entitlement because I don't know how your conditions affect you.
Going forward if you do decide to reapply, I'd advise you to have a good read of this link and hopefully it will give you more understanding of the descriptors. Take your time reading it and do some research too and then you can decide whether enough points can be scored for an award. If that's possible you can then reapply.

thank you for that link,
I went through all the descriptors at length when I first applied June last year but I was pregnant at the time and my mental health was stable at the time, I think that went against me.
They mainly focused on my ability to take care of my children rather than how much I didn’t care for myself or the fact I needed prompting for most activities.
Thank you again poppy your advice is much appreciated
