Getting support (physio, OT etc)
Hello
Our 10 months baby is significantly delayed. Motor and cognitive. We've been told since he was a few weeks old by all the specialists we have seen privately that physio is absolutely key. We've also been told in the past 2 or 3 months that he should see an OT.
We are getting nowhere with the NHS. We are on a waiting list for physio but have no idea how long for and haven't heard for OT.
We are currently paying for weekly physio and osteopathy but this is starting to be very expensive.
Any advice as to what other parents may have gone through and/or what we should do? Of course we will continue paying until we can get NHS but we would appreciate any advice or anyone sharing experience.
Thank you

Heya @Anonymo83
I noticed your discussion was still unanswered, so I just wanted to stop in and see how you were getting on? Hopefully by replying, this will bump your discussion back to the top of the page so more people can see it. 😊

Thank you. I appreciate the follow up. We are finally getting "in the NHS system" and continuing privately as well. N

Ah I'm glad there's some movement at least @Anonymo83 I'll keep my fingers crossed for some faster movement with the NHS.

Thank you. I think they've realised they should have seen us much earlier than this. Now we are getting a lo at of equipment to support him so that's really useful. And the team seems brilliant

Oh brilliant, that's all sounding very positive then. 😁
