Damp in house
Hello,
I live with my parents and I am on pip enhanced rate.
I want to know where i can find help for who can fix our roof as we have got a lot of mould, damp and wet walls. our roof needs repairing we have already had 3 different builders try to fix it but they never solved the issue and instead made the problem worse and now my parents are unable to afford to get the roof fixed as the cost is too much and the damp affects my health as well as i have got eczema.

Hi @Sid98 , welcome to the community 😃I'm sorry to hear about your damp issues. I've lived in flats with damp and mould issues before and it really can be an issue.
I assume your parents own the house? Please let me know if they don't.
Have they tried complaining about the work with any of the builders? I don't know if this guide will help at all:
I'm not sure how much they could help, but given the house affects your health you could ask the Local Authority to do a Needs Assessment for you and your house.
I'm unsure if this could be an avenue, but this organisation often helps find reputable builders in areas for disabled people who need help with their home. They mostly do adaptations but I checked their site and it seems like they can do repairs too: https://www.findmyhia.org.uk/home
