PIP adward review claim stopped due to late returned form
Hello
I recently filled out my Pip Adward Review claim form and sent it back withing 3 days of the dead line which i had taken was pleanty of time to to return. However i received a letter from Pip stating that i hadn't sent back in time even though the agents at Pip only read my claim around 11-12 days later from the dealine date. I contacted Pip the same day i received the letter and was told my Pip would have to be review again. However i received an ESA letter stating they have reduced my payment due to my Pip being stopped. When speaking to a Pip agent today. I have a sneaky feeling that my Pip may have used the late returned retrick to stop my Pip.. I'm told by the Pip agent today the review will take up to 10 weeks then i'll receive a letter. Would it be quicker to make a fresh claim or wait tthe 10 weeks?
Thanks

Your PIP would have just been suspended because they didn’t receive the forms in time. They should restart the claim once the form is received. You can’t start a new claim because you’ve already got an award.
If your ESA included the Severe Disability Premium then this would have stopped due to your PIP being suspended. Once your PIP is back in payment you can ring ESA to reclaim the SDP.
The decision on the review itself could take a very long time because of the backlogs. Many people are waiting as long as a year for a decision.
