Lcwra and self employed
Hi, im currently receiving UC and LCWRA. I would like to do some jobs from home and earn some extra income. I read informations available online and would like to ask few questions. Do I just register as self employed and informa UC on my online account that I did it or should I contact them first? Is there anyone else that I need to inform about being self employed? Are the dates for reporting the earnings to UC the same for everyone and what are those? The only information I found its 7 days before and 14 days after end of month. Thank you ❤️

I don't know what you mean by 7 days before and 14 days after.
If you start working, whether it's self employed or PAYE you must "report a change of circumstances" by logging into your journal. From the list find "work and earnings" then report it through there.
As self employed you will need to attend a gateway appointment with a work coach, as this is standard for everyone when starting self employed work. Even if found to be gainfully self employed the Minimum Income Floor will not apply to you, even after the 12 month start up period.
You will need to report your earnings and expenses on the last day of each assessment period. Everyone's assessment periods are different. If you don't know what yours are then you can find out on your statement page.
For registering as self employed with HMRC you only need to do that if your earnings are more than £1,000 in a tax year.
