PIP timeframe
Hi
I applied for PIP due to have been in constant pain since 2014 and recently diagnosed with Fibromalgia, which put a lot of things that have happened in my life into perspective.
I applied on 18th April, but sent my "more about your health" online on 30th April. I had a text from IAS stating they are responsible for my application, and on 30th May I have a text from DWP stating a health professional is looking at my claim and will contact me with an appointment if they need to.
I have had nothing since then. My region is west yorkshire. I am just wondering does anyone have similar experience and know anything about timelines?

Timescales vary considerably for everyone, even if you live in the same area. It's not just backlogs that cause delays, it's each individual case. As this is a new claim I would expect the process from starting to having a decision to take up to about 6 months but sometimes It can be less.
All you can do now is wait.

Hi @pkra93, welcome to the community 😊 unfortunately there is quite a backlog so it may take sometime. Of course if you have any other questions feel free to ask them!
