I won my PIP tribunal, what happens now?
I was successful in my tribunal on 14.06.24 - this is backdated until the start of my claim in March 23. When can I expect a payment? Also, will cost of living payments for this period be included in this?
Thanks in advance.

It can take anything up to 8 weeks to receive what is owed and for your award to be put into payment.
The cost of living payment will be paid as a separate payment at some point. No idea how long that will take.

Is it normal for a Tribunal not to issue a decision on the same day. My cousin has Tribunal on Thursday 13.6.24.
The Judge said they would ring her back after the hearing with decision but she is still hasn't got it and also not uploaded either.

I received a call from DWP today asking about bank details and if I've been abroad recently.. is this an indicator that a payment is imminent?

I wouldn't say it's normal but I have known it happen.

It shouldn't take any longer than a few weeks now.

Is it a good or bad sign and what do you think is causing such delay. Thanks

@Emma010101 hiya Emma, I've been told myself by someone on the pip phoneline that it's a 6 week wait to get backdated. It's all sorted by a caseworker and they have to go through everything before any arrears are made to you if owed. They have to see if the dates are correct and calculate manually to the pence by each week from when u made the claim to tribunal. Hopefully I've wrote this in an understanding as I'm not very good at writing lol. Apparently once u receive a text that's basically when the payments made to u and u can call them up after u get that text and they will tell u how much is being paid to u and on what date and what payments you'll getting after that if I'm correct. Hope this helps

It doesn't mean anything other than they haven't yet received the decision letter. I have no idea what the delay is and it would be impossible to even guess.
