How long till a decision?
Hi, I have had my assessment by phone on 22 May, it's been 3 weeks and 4 days since my assessment and I am just wondering what is the wait time for the decision?
I got my assessor report and I got 14 points on Daily Living and Mobility, and yes, I know the case manager can go against the report, but it's this waiting what's driving me mad. Some people have had their assessments and a few days later, they got a text stating they have been awarded, but why is mine taking ages for a decision? I called up last week, and I have been told it's with a case manager.
Please note, this is not a review claim, it's a new claim.

As advised on your other thread, once the report was returned a decision can take up to 12 weeks. Yes, I know some have a decision quickly but unfortunately not everyone. Some wait longer than others. Backlogs and each individual case all add to the waiting times.
Best thing to do is try to focus on something else and yes I know that's difficult but there's nothing more you can but wait.
