Questions about PIP appeal

Hi has anybody had a similar experience? I have had my Pip assessment over the phone which lasted for two hours and 24 minutes within 15 minutes the DWP messaged me saying we have received your assessment. I called them to ask for a copy of my assessment and was told I would receive it in the post. The then went on to say I must stress that you cannot challenge the decision and till you have received the official decision letter. I take it that this means I have not been successful in my claim?

Hey @Shazzi, welcome to the community 😊 I wouldn't read anything into that personally. That is pretty standard responses. It's very normal for them to receive the report immediately as it's all done electronically now.
It's likely you will get your assessment report before you receive an official decision. They are just informing you that, even if the assessment report doesn't properly reflect how you are, you cannot start any appeals process until after the official decision.
If you like you can read more about the appeals process here:
I'll just pop this over to our PIP category incase you do have further questions!

No, it doesn’t mean that. It means exactly what you were advised.
The assessment report isn’t the decision, it’s a recommendation. If there’s any points recommended they are not added up in the report and you will need to do that yourself by looking at the descriptors. It’s highly unlikely the advisor on the phone would have had time to add up those points while you were on the phone.
