Hi everyone, my son he is 16 years old and autistic and I had phone and applying for his PIP on the phone, what would be the next step for us?! please, thanks in advance π

Hi @kimbo1000, welcome to the community! Hope you're doing well today.
If you've already rung PIP to start the claim, they should then send you out the claim form in the post. The next steps will be filling in the forms to explain how your son's condition affects him. There's lots of advice out there for how to do this, but it's a good idea to understand the descriptors they use to make a decision and provide lots of detailed, real world examples of how your son's conditions affect him in certain tasks. You can read about the descriptors here.
If you feel like you might need some support filling in the form, you could try looking for a local advice agency. Sometimes they can be helpful to talk you through the best way of doing things.
But if you have any questions about the process, our members are all very helpful so I'm sure they'd be able to offer you some advice. Lots of them have been through the process either themselves or for their children, so there's always some support available here π
