I called to register my claim for pip back in March.i told them it was because I suffered from PTSD, severe anxiety and depression, she asked if i had any other ailments to which i said yes i have suspected neuropathy in my feet and ankles . However this is not what i was claimi g for it was my depression ect which was so bad at the time I did t even bother to fill out the forms, however they contacted my doctor and I also got a very long telephone assessment., of which I ha e received a copy, and to say that I am furious is an understatement. My assessment is all about the pain in my feet and ankles, and only short mentions of my mental health, mostly in my medical history part, it has been trivialised and pushed to the side. My mental health jour ey has been a long journey including an evaluation by the mental health hospital, I work permanently from home now as I am bordering on agoraphobia... but this was all trivialised.

CCaN o request another assessment or do i still ha e to wait for their decision letter before i can speak to someone about this?.. the assessor recommended ZERO points.

This has likely happened because you didn't fill out the form and return it. If they also didn't have any other evidence then this wouldn't have helped. Even though they contacted your Doctor, whether this was helpful would depend on what information they gave. If it was a GP then they are not the best people to contact for evidence.

You can ring PIP to ask for a decision maker to ring you before they make their decision. It's not guaranteed that they will ring but the call handler will pass the information on.

Failing that, once a decision is made if you're not happy you can request the Mandatory Reconsideration.
