If I get my child DLA and I’m his mum can his nan claim his carer allowance?

Your child needs either mid/high rate care DLA for someone to claim carers allowance for looking after them. If your nan is of state pension age or above and her state pension is more than £81.90/week then she will not be entitled to payments of CA. Instead she will have an underlying entitlement to it, which means she could be entitled to Pension Credit or if already claiming it, it could increase her entitlement.

No. Is your mum claiming any benefits? if so which ones exactly?
