That sounds lovely @HaileyDanielle, it's always good when old things find a new lease of life and I bet your great aunt was pleased to see them being worn. I have a small collection of vintage dresses from the 30s to the 70s, but I don't wear them very often, only for special occasions. I just like looking at them!

It's really nice when old things get reused and the bonus I think is they probably aren't available to buy today so will be quite unique!!!

The prints, cuts and tailoring of vintage clothing really is from a time when clothes were very much made to last, unlike many of today's throw away fashion. It's fantastic @HaileyDanielle that you appreciate those items and enjoy them. I'd love to see those dresses both from your great aunt and @Rosie_Scope . I once picked up a very old vintage beaded dress from a car boot sale that had been thrown on the ground for less than £5. The label said something like 'made in the British Colony ' but unsure of its age. It was a beautiful, oyster , taupe colour, with elaborate beading, layered chiffon type fabric, a real evening dress. But someone had attempted some alterations to it that were not kind. Unfortunately it was beyond my skill set to repair but I passed it on to a young lady who wanted it for a wedding dress and prepared to take on the job. Other than that, I am still hunting for my mum's old metallic lurex, going out dress, with a cut out detail at the back, which I still remember from being a little girl!😂
