Heya @GeorginaM55 and welcome to the community. 😁

I'm sorry to hear about the inconsistencies. I'd always suggest going for a mandatory reconsideration, as the DWP love to give people 0 points. It may not have a good outcome, but it'll take you onto the next step, which would be a tribunal, which currently have around a 70% success rate.

No, you shouldn’t challenge the decision based purely on inconsistencies in the report. You should only do this if it’s possible to score more points needed for an award.

I wouldn’t expect the report to be exactly what you said during the assessment. If it did then there would be no point in the assessments in the first place. Reports are their opinions based on everything you wrote in the form, any extra evidence you sent and what you said during the assessment.

If you do think you should have scored more points for an award then you can request the MR. You should put that in writing stating where and why you think you should have scored those points. It’s fine to mention a couple of obvious errors in the report but then put it to one side and forget about it. Concentrating wholly on the report is not going to help you score more points.

    hiya,

If you feel the inconsistencies in the report don’t seem right and you have medical evidence or supported reasons to say why you don’t agree then I would appeal.

I scored 11 points which gave me standard rate but my report was full of information which either wasn’t said or just didn’t make any sense so I appealed and have my tribunal today.

If you’re not sure then maybe make an appointment at CAB and go through it with them and see what they say about the descriptions which you don’t agree with.
