If you have your decision letter then it will tell you on there how long your award is for and when to expect your review from. Usually it’s about 8 months before, unless things change at that time.
If you haven’t had a decision yet and you’re referring to the recommendations in the report then they recommend a review time and a decision maker will add a year onto that, if they go with the report.

2 years....you will then receive a review assessment form to complete about 6 to 8 months before the 2 years is up

So the decision maker will not add a year on then if accesor is saying review in 2 years time then thank you for all your replys

Have you added up any recommended points? They will not be added in the report. A review recommended in X amount of years is no indication you could be awarded. They have been known to do that even when zero points are recommended.
To answer your question, as I advised, when a review is recommended in x amount of years the decision maker will usually add a year onto that. A 2 year review would likely be a 3 year award but it has been known for a decision maker to give an even longer award and go against the recommendations but it's rare.

HI poppy thanks for your reply yes I've added them up and the recommendations are very accurate however I have not recived my desion as yet so iam not building my hopes untill I know for sure this process is very long and causing ne so much anxiety

Anxiety increasing is all part of claiming benefits like this. I've yet to find anyone that doesn't find it extremely stressful. This includes new claims and reviews of existing claims,
The timescale for decisions is up to 12 weeks after the report was returned.

Yes it a very stressful time the process iam just praying that they go with the recommendations as they can go against them I was reading

Mostly they go with them, it's rare for them to go against it but yes I can happen. Having claimed PIP for 11 years I've yet to experience them going against any of the reports I've received for assessments. Same for my daughter since 2017.
