    @ricky1040 it was a bit dismissive, I apologise for that because you're right there is never an excuse. However this isn't just one driver, they are saying 8 out of 12 drivers and to me that says that this passenger may have a bit of a reputation among the drivers and that wouldn't be for no reason. Treat people with respect and they will treat you the same 90% of the time. The truth definitely lies somewhere in the middle.
