LCW To LCWRA

Hi,

I have a query about backdated payments as I'm a little confused and am hoping someone on here has the answer.

DWP requested a medical assessment so I filled in the necessary forms and had to return the form by 25/04/24. I had a telephone assessment on 19/06/24. I passed this assessment and was notified on 25/06/24 that I would be moved from LCW to LCWRA group. Universal Credit have adjusted my payments to the new rate, but would I be owed any arrears as I'm a little unsure about this?

Unfortunately you will not be owed any money for this because it was UC that referred you for another WCA. When this happens the extra money is paid from the assessment fee period in which the decision was made.

If you had reported changes to your health condition and provided fit notes then it would be paid from the assessment period in which the changes were reported.

after reading this I’m at a loss as to why they’re making me wait until November for my first payment when I was also on LCW and just awarded LCWRA yesterday. I feel so bullied by the people who reply in my journal!
