Hey there @sparkleapril congratulations in advance on the new little one! I'm afraid I don't have much information for you, but I just wanted to let you know I've moved your discussion to a different category, so more people in the know will be able to see and offer support. I hope that's ok? 😊

The OT team have decided to fit a lift and wet room but not sure when is happening.

The social services are trying to sort a PA out because the carers are not helping how they should be. But they won't give me more than 10 hours a week.

Is there a Homestart scheme in your area? If there is it would be worth contacting them. They offer family support through volunteers who are parents themselves.

Might your midwife be able to signpost you to further support?

I have a lady coming to see me from home start next week had a letter come through. The midwife refer me so I will see what she can help and support with.

This is why trying to sort a PA because the carers only do so much if there job at all.

Just be nice to help with shopping, picking medication up ect.

I had a hospital appointment yesterday for a scan but cause I can't reply on hospital transport has to get an Uber and make my own way I did it but it was hard work in a wheelchair. Scan went well Xx

    Hi @sparkleapril,

I am glad to hear that you have social services in place. It is also good to hear that Occupational Therapy are completing some adaptions for you.

With regard to adaptions or, equipment, try tips for parenting from a wheelchair. Also try ways to make parenting more accessible.

There may be some ideas that you haven’t thought of yet to make life a little easier for you. I hope this helps.

Thank you doris_scope that's really helpful. I will look into it.

I have got a fold up baby bath for the sink and a baby carrier.

Just wondering if there is any prams or car seats to fit on a mobility scooter.
