Recieved this notice to state to claim housing benefit and income support I need to go to uc by Sept 24th, I understand I will still be protected, my current benefits so I do not loose money but not happy with it being a monthly payment, my question is this uc was brought in by the conservatives, the letter I recieved was when they were in government, now it's changed to a new government labour is that letter still legal binding, should I do it now or wait incase labour change?

You will need to make sure you claim UC by the date in the letter. I honestly can't see that UC migration would be changed or halted now due to the amount of people that already claim it. Legacy benefits are ending. The only thing that may be postponed for now is the migration for those claiming Income Related ESA because originally the Government announced it wouldn't be until 2028/29. Then they changed it to between Sept 2024 and Dec 2025.
