Heya @Catherine21 I can empathise. I am great at worrying about everything. But over hte years I realised somethings are totally out of my control, so I try and keep telling myself that. Plus basic grounding techniques like 4-3-2-1 so look around you, name 4 things blue, three things red, two things green, one thing yellow. Do this slowly and out loud. It really helps me.

Also just to let you know, I've moved this discussion over to the coffee lounge so more people can see it and offer some support. I hope that's ok? 😊

I wonder @Catherine21 if you've read through Minds tips on Mindfulness or Relaxation? I think you could try some of the ideas out perhaps to see if they help with how the thoughts just keep running around your head? I can get that sometimes and I do some of the Mindfulness techniques to stop the thoughts and help me calm down.

I've had so much therapy and the minute I leave it I don't retain any information

I can struggle to make it habit too @Catherine21. This is less therapy though and more like, techniques. It takes a long time to make them habitual, and to remember them when you need them. I try to do it even when I don't really need it, because then it becomes easier to think of when I do need a Mindfulness technique to help me calm down.

Letters from a GP are never the best evidence to send. A GP doesn’t spend anytime with you to see how you managed the activities and descriptors, they don’t see you wash, dress/undress, prepare food, communicate etc etc. If they know it’s because you told them and then it becomes hearsay.
