Have just been awarded Standard Living on PIP

hi everyone
im Just writing to say to all those who have applied for PIP do not give up hope. I was told back in April 2024 that I wasn’t eligible for any PIP I wasn’t going to argue it as I didn’t have the energy however I thought it couldn’t hurt as after reading the report the assessor had written none of it rang true. I completed a Mandatory reconsideration on the phone and have had 3 phone calls from case managers. I hadn’t heard anything for so long and felt sure I wasn’t going to be successful. I then called PIP and the said there was a result but they could t tell me. As I hadn’t had a text I was sure that I definitely hadn’t received anything but called back in and asked to speak to a case manager who was very helpful and read me the letter that has been sent saying iv been awarded standard living. Although this doesn’t help with my travel as I suffer extreme anxiety and have numerous panic attacks a day it does help me in just living day to day.
I can’t stress to everyone that applies do not give up and if you believe that you deserve it to fight for it.

Welcome and well done for persevering
Just in case it's not obvious, the money is to do what you want with, so if you only won a daily living award you can still spend it on things to help you travel out and about if that would help
