Hi, my name is kat52!
Hi, my mum is a pensioner and is also on disability allowance. She lives in a council house and gets most of the rent and council tax paid. Me my partner and son are moving will this affect her rent & council tax?

To be clear, are you currently living with your mum? If so and you move out, will she be living alone or with other adults? Does anyone claim either carers allowance or carers element of Universal Credit for looking after her?
You mention moving yourself but haven't really given enough of information for me to be able to advise.

Thank you. If your mum currently lives alone and she's claiming Pension Credit which includes Severe disability Premium then she will lose this unless you and your partner are either claiming a qualifying disability benefit or registered blind. She will need to contact Pension Credit to report the changes. This may mean her PC ends but will depend on circumstances.
If it's either DLA mid/high rate care, PIP daily living or AA she's claiming then there will be no non dependent deductions from her housing benefit. Changes still need to be reported to her local authority when you move in. If she's currently claiming single person discount for her council tax then she will lose that.
