Funding
Hi.... sorry if I've come to the wrong place but didn't know where to go,
I have severe mobility issues with my legs and feel, chronic leg ulcers, DVT, lymphodemea, lymphorea, nerve damage, severe pain,
I am moving to a new home that will make life a little more bare able for me, but it has concrete floors as it's a new build, can I ask for funding from my local council for carpets ?
AsI have a risk of falling coz I can't move my feet normally and have tripped many times already, it would take me a long time to get carpets for each room, it's a one bedroom place , so bedroom , living room , hallway.
I'd be grateful if anyone could give me advice on this, I am due to move in about 4 weeks so I haven't got much time really, also is there any help I can get to actually pack all my stuff disconnect washer etc, I realise I might be asking alot but it's going to be really hard to attempt it all on my own.
Tia,
Karen G

Your Local Authority may have funding from the household support fund, I don't know if that's still available now with the new Government. There maybe some information on their website, If not then give them a ring tomorrow and ask.
