PIP questions after receiving text

Hello,

First question, did they receive my evidence?

I sent extra evidence to an address and asked them to confirm if they had received the evidence but got this standard reply:

We still have your PIP form and will be progressing your review as soon as we can. You may still need an assessment with a health professional. Your PIP will continue to be paid until we review your claim. You only need to contact us if your circumstances change.

I sent off my form last November and I’m still waiting for an assessment but I did receive this text message, does this message mean it’s moved onto a new stage?

Hello from Independent Assessment Services. We conduct Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments for the Department for Work and Pensions DWP. This is for information purposes only, to let you know that we are managing your PIP assessment. We will look at the available evidence and will contact you with an appointment if we need to have a consultation with you. You can find information about the service we provide at https://www.mypipassessment.co.uk. You do not need to contact us.

The first text was because it was still with a DWP decision maker. The 2nd text is because that decision maker couldn't make a decision without sending your file to the assessment providers, which they have now done.

You may now be sent an appointment for an assessment, which most people have. (paper based assessments are still possible) Most assessments are by telephone, some are face to face or video. If you receive an appointment for face to face or video you can contact them and change it to telephone if you want to.

Can I still send evidence to the DWP, Poppy?

You may want to send it to Independent Assessment Services instead. Please also remember the advice often given here, less is often more. Sending multiple pieces of evidence all saying the same thing isn't helpful.
