Pip change of circumstances review.

Hi on 20th May I telephoned pip to report a change as my conditions have become much worse. I have been putting this off for some time anyway I received the form and returned it. Yesterday out of the blue a lady rang me from dwp/pip asked me a few questions about the form and at the end told me it would be 7 to 10 days before I hear something and I may have to have a face to face. The call took 20 minutes. Anyway this morning at 8am I received a text that says your pip review is now complete and you will have a letter in 2 weeks. Please don't contact us until you get your letter as we can't tell you the decision. And ends with, if your circumstances can please let us know.

I'm very confused now and panicking! Is that it all over without assessment? I'm currently on lower rates for both elements but have more conditions now than I did. My main worry is is that they will stop it altogether! Anyone have any ideas what's going on? Thanks in advance.

Heya @kayzee67 I toally understand the confusion, they're very good at not explaining things haha. It sounds like they've done what's called a "Paper assessment" which just means they felt they had enough information to make a decision without a full telephone assessment. Or that 20 min call may well have been your ad hoc assessment.
I'd try not to panic too much, but I know that's often easier said than done. But they'll send you a letter soon which will explain it all. Will you let us know how you get on please?

It would have been a decision maker that rang you. If you haven't already you can ring PIP in the morning to ask what the decision is and they will tell you.
