Pip
hi there, I wonder if anyone can make light of this situation, I had a telephone assessment on 2nd may, 10 days later I received a text saying that dwp had received my report, I then called and requested a copy which I received shortly after, there were many inaccuracies and I was completely underscored with only 6 dl and 4 mb I had already sent in a bunch of evidence but after this I sent more and in the meantime medication had been changed and increased, I wrote a letter to the dwp very quickly stating that I did not agree with my report and that this wasn’t my MR but made them aware of how I felt, I left it a while and 3 weeks ago I called for an update and they told me all my stuff had been sent back to the assessors for advice, I then called 10 days ago and spoke to such a lovely gentleman, he explained that being sent back was a positive move on the case manager as although unusual he said this does happen and said I know it’s taking a long time but think of the back payment once you have your decision, which I replied well there will be no back payment if I’m not awarded, anyhow I called them again yesterday and spoke to another gentleman who said the case manager have it all back now and will soon make a decision, he also explained that this would of been a positive move because the assessor had to correct my report? He said they wouldn’t of written a whole new one but areas would have had to be corrected, then he said when a decision is made that I will receive a text? But I know I would only receive a text if I was awarded? So maybe that was a mistake on his part because now I have my hopes up, I did send in about 40 pieces of evidence and alot of what she had written had nothing to do with my evidence which is why I’m assuming it was sent back, has anyone else been in this situation before? Thankyou

There has been some members who’ve had a positive outcome after the report being returned the assessment providers and some who haven’t.
Hopefully a decision will be made soon.

Hey @app84 and welcome to the community. 😊
As Poppy has said, it could go either way, but I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for a positive and quick outcome for you.

Thankyou for your reply, I started the claim on 7th February, it’s the waiting that’s worse, I’m not getting my hopes up because I know what my original points were, I’m not expecting high rate I may be suprised, from what I’m dealing with I’d be suprised to get nothing and really should be entitled to high rate but whatever I get I’m not going to complain, I think the thought of being recognised and validated it’s what’s important to me if that makes sense? I will appeal if I’m not awarded at all, the report was a complete shambles and completely contradicted its self, the lady was was stern with me in my assessment and upset me quite a few times, I couldn’t really understand her and she had to keep repeating herself and was very muffled on her end, I had no time to answer any of my questions properly and what I did answer is not how she has put it in the report, I’m the report she also referred to me as he, I’m very much a she lol and I’m sure the case manager would of picked up on that too, I’m hoping for a good outcome and hopefully hear soon, the call handlers have said the case manager made a good move as they haven’t automatically agreed with what she has said and the flaws will be corrected so I guess I’m holding on to that

I received a text this morning saying I’ve been awarded pip, not sure on rates etc BUT in my report I was underscored and wasent eligible for anything, the case manager clearly wasn’t happy with what she put on my report because it was all sent back to the assessment people and now I’ve been awarded, I’m so happy they picked up on the faults, the report did not compare to the evidence I supplied and has been amended, will be interesting to compare the 2 reports, I’m so grateful and now the stress is over 😊
