I’ve been on DLA and pip for over 20 years.

I have several severe spinal complains and arthritis all over my body.
I have diabetes

Asthma

And bipolar disorder

I ve only just found out about the green paper. About the government stopping pip payments and I’m horrified.

I rely on my pip payments for many things. I pay people to help me. I have a special diet.

My house is my own and is in need of repair. I’d my bedroom roof is leaking and my drive has a bit dint in it. My roof is also falling off. This is just miner there’s other major stuff.
I have to pay my water rates. Mortgage, feed a cat and dog. And run a car my caters use fit me.

To loose my pip payment would be devistating for me.
I don’t need funds for meds, or adaptations I already have them.

Basically I will be in severe poverty and my health will suffer. My home is cold even with the cold weather payment. I rely on the internet to help keep me sane. I wouldn’t be able to afford that. I wouldn’t have money to buy clothing. I’m terrified at what my life will be like.

Please help stop this change stop

Nothing is happening at the moment and everything remains as it is now. The new Government haven't made any decisions about anything. It could be several months before we hear anything.

Good morning @valerie3420 and a warm welcome to the community.

You're definitely not alone in worrying about what changes may happen and the green paper and proposals have caused a lot of anxiety for people.

As poppy mentions, no decision has been made yet so hopefully they'll take all the feedback they were provided with on board.
