Ankle Fusion Surgery

I would be interested to hear peoples views/ experiences about this surgery , the positives and negatives. I had a discussion with my consultant at Royal National Orthopaedic hospital about this on Monday this week.
Although the team at Royal National Orthopaedic feel this is not an option for me now it could be in the future after all non surgical options have been exhausted, if my function reduces and pain levels increase.
Thanks in advance

Heya @speedy24 and welcome to the community!
I've been looking into the same surgery, as it's the next (and final step) for me too. It's not a surgery they take lightly as it'll mean a change in the way you walk and cannot be reversed, so it's a big step to take. I'd definitely be looking into other options first. Have they offered you any other alternatives yet?0
