Hi, my name is Warren86! Labor & benefits
I am very scared of what is going to happen with the benefits system under the labor government ? I don’t work at all and can’t work due to mental health and health issues along with that I have got learning difficulties as well, And I rely completely on my benefits to get me through months with my benefits. I get are PIP ( once a month ) and ESA Allowance ( Every two weeks ) if they are going to get ride of some benefits that mean I have to fine a job, but I can’t get a job due my mental health and medical needs that stop me from working. What do I do, plus I am in a massive debt with Hampshire county council to do with my care!!!!!! Heeeeeeelp 😥😥😥

Hi @Warren86, welcome to the community. Sorry to hear you're feeling so stressed out by the benefits system. You're not alone in feeling worried, many members have felt the same lately.
We don't know much about what the new government have planned for benefits, but it's unlikely that anyone who has significant mental or physical health issues will be forced into doing anything they can't manage.
There's also nothing to suggest that they will be getting rid of any particular benefits.
If they do decide to make changes, they will have to go through a long process to be approved, so nothing will happen quickly.
I can understand that it feels really scary to think about it and there's lots in the news talking about what could happen to disabled people. I know it's not easy, but for now it's best to try not to worry about things and take each day as it comes. Hopefully we'll know more about things soon.
