Mandatory Consideration
Hi. Macmillan send In my behalf a mandatory consideration on 20th of June asking for Enhanced daily living instead standard. I got 10 points in standard. I request 4 points instead 2 in engagement with other people. ( Well I really don't engage with anybody at all) And I don't cook at all due to strong painkillers as a side effects of my chemotherapy treatment. My questions are: Are they will stop my payments in August?. I received a payment on in July ( my next payment should be on the 5th August and I don't know if they will stop or not). Also, I would like to ask you if there is any difference if Macmillan asked for the Mandatory Consideration instead me?. I am really nervous because I read that only 20 percent win the MC.
I will appreciate your help.
Regards
Patty

Your current award will continue while you wait for the decision on the MR. Yes, the most likely outcome of the MR is the decision remains the same, only about 23% of them change at the stage.
There's more chance of success at Tribunal stage, providing you either appear in person or have a telephone/video hearing and then there's about a 70% success rate. Paper based hearings have a much less success rate at only about 5-8%.
The only downside about Tribunals is the waiting times, which could be as long as a year.
Your MR decision timescale is anything up to 15 weeks.
