Hello
so Im just really want to ask about I was born with a deformed right arm and was getting dla from the age of 16yrs old and was on the lowest rate.
Now a couple of years a go I went for my first ever medical as dla was changing to pip and now i get the the top rate.
Any advice around do you think Im entitled to any money back dated as I think really should of been getting the higher rate when I first go dla all those years ago thanks.

If you transferred from DLA when you first claimed PIP then you will not receive any money backdated, even if the PIP award was higher than the DLA award. Unfortunately, that's the law.
Those that transfer from DLA will receive their first PIP payment about 7 weeks after the decision was made.
