DWP phone call
Hi, I am new to this site and I have joined to get some further support and advice. DWP called me today and asked me 6 questions. 2 of them were have you been in prison or hospital since making your claim and another 2 were am I OK to manage a lump sum payment and to confirm who I bank with. I asked the advisor if my claim is still at MR stage and he said yes and that the case worker was still reviewing my case and I should receive a letter soon with the decision. Has anyone else had this? What does it mean? I presume that the decision could still be a no.

Welcome to the community @Mrsstella84.
I've had this same call but can't remember at what stage it was. I had to go all the way to tribunal before being awarded. I'm sure there'll be another member who can share their experience.

I am definitely not getting my hopes up after the call. I am absolutely determined to go all the way to tribunal if I have to. I have found the whole experience really stressful and my anxiety is through the roof. I always give up when something makes me this anxious but I've convinced myself that I need to keep fighting.

You should definitely keep fighting. I went all the way to tribunal where I was awarded PIP after receiving 0 points at first, then 4 at MR. Keep going with it!

Just thought I would provide an update. I have won my mandatory reconsideration!! I checked my bank this morning and received back pay. Got my letter at lunch and it confirmed enhanced daily living and standard mobility. Thanks for your help x
