Hi, my name is jan59!
Just been told I have bile salt alabsorption. First of all 9 yrs ago they said it was miro colitis, but it got so bad I had more test to get the right diagnosis at last. I worry it I m going out as there is no warning and little bowel control. Tried one drug but the side effects were do bad , so now having to wait for a appointment. It's not just the the upset tummy but the pain gets so bad.
Do you know if you can help if you suffer from BAM
So once again more waiting not got that many years left

Hi @jan59. Welcome to the community. I'm not familiar with BAM but I did find this charity that was set up to support those with the condition which could be helpful .
There may be some members who can share their experiences too 😊

Hi @jan59 - & welcome to the community. Sorry to read you have Bile Acid Malabsorption (BAM). I think we have had members suffering from this, but I don't think they're active on the community at the moment.
I don't know if you've come across the following charity which has some good info about BAM:

Sorry @Rachel_Scope - I hadn't realised you'd already posted, but Guts UK is a very informative website!
