Earnings from employer? Self employed help!

Hi Scopers, good morning!

I recently got awarded LCW! Which is great, I also started a part time job recently for which I am self employed (as I'm not paid through PAYE). I have declared all of this to DWP.

Today I got a message on my to-do list asking me to report earnings by employers, I think this may be because when I initially informed them of my new job I told them I would be employed, instead of self employed (I am already self employed as I run my own business and misunderstood what they meant by employed). And I thought this would have been changed at my SE review last month. (Where I was told to report my earnings from this job with my small business earnings).

I have left a message in my journal for my work coach and another for anyone else to read but should I just say I didn't receive earnings from employers? (I declared my self employment income yesterday. I am currently 'ungainfully self employed' but I am hoping I can make it my full time job soon!). Hopefully this all makes sense!

I'm feeling super anxious about this, so any advice or good vibes are welcomed.

Congrats @worryworm95 on the LCW award! Also that's an adorable kitten gif ❤️ I would clarify how you are employed and that should clear up that you are not receiving an wage as an employed person but a wage as a self-employed person. Which it does sound like you've done already!

Do you mind me asking what your business does? I understand if you don't want to answer! I just love hearing what people enjoy doing. I had a great chat the other week with the new cheesemonger that opened up in my town recently. She talked about how she was an accountant but just really, really loved cheese. It was clear from the way she would talk about each type of cheese that she was just loving being there over being an accountant!

@Jimm_Scope Hi! Thank you so much, I've reported 0 earnings from employers and I've asked my work coach to double check that they know I'm definitely getting self employed wages right now.
