Please be aware that the Tribunal will not take into consideration any worsening of condition since the original assessment took place. They will only take into consideration what your conditions were like at the time that assessment took place.
If you already have an award in place please be careful about reporting changes because they could send another form to fill in and return and the whole process will start again.
Waiting times for Tribunal hearings have increased considerably and it’s not unusual to be waiting about a year for a date. Hopefully not too much longer.

PIP isn’t about your ability to work. Please think very carefully before you cancel the Tribunal hearing. You’ve been waiting this long so may as well continue.
If you either appear in person or have a telephone/video hearing there’s about a 70% success rate.
If you start a new claim and you use the same evidence you previously used you could see another refusal.
A worsening of condition doesn’t automatically entitle you to PIP, even if you reapply. Also if you reapply you would lose everything from the time of your first claim.

Hi @poppy123456, correct me if I seem wrong but this is what I remember from a training I had a few months ago.
@Sgroveuk If you submit a new claim the tribunal still goes ahead, but it will only cover the period from your first application until the moment the second application was submitted. So if your first claim submitted in January of this year, and you submit a new claim now, the tribunal will only decide on whether you should receive PIP between January of this year and August of this year. The second claim would have to go through the same process of having an assessment and decision etc. and then to any appeals process if needs be.

From ADM Chapter A5 under the section 'Changes and further claims during the period before a hearing' see 5013: Where a further claim is made and has been determined, the FtT cannot consider any period after the effective date of the decision on that claim.

Ah, so it's from application to the decision, that makes more sense otherwise you would lose out on money that should have been owed, as if it was a review. Thank you for clarifying @chiarieds.
