How do I prove that I deserve 8 points for engaging with other people?
Hi guys,
I just won my tribunal appeal. I was awarded 2 points for preparing food, washing & bathing, and dressing & undressing. I was also awarded 4 points for engaging with other people face to face.
My award is for a fixed amount of time and will soon expire because my appeal took unusually long. My question is, how do I convince them during the reassessment that I'm entitled to 8 points and not just 4 points for this activity? I have an autistic spectrum disorder, I'm prescribed anti anxiety medications, and I described multiple examples of social interactions causing me overwhelming distress. Even so, the judge only awarded me 4 points.
Would it be helpful if I got a letter from my GP saying that social interaction causes me overwhelming psychological distress?
I have never sought social support because I don't believe it would help me, however I'm now considering doing so.

Hi @B3876 and welcome. :)
Congratulations on winning your appeal, that's always good news! If you've already explained how your disabilities affect each descriptor, with real world examples and consequences, then you're doing it right. Often GP input isn't needed, but I'd say it couldn't hurt to get something to back up your statements.0
