Pip review
Hi all
Hope your all coping as best as you can.
Looking for some help with my first pip review.
Got the form today looks really frightening, do i need to put everything down that i did when i applied or only anyghing that has changed. I was only given standard living originally. ( even though i thought i should have got the enhanced.)didnt want to try for the enhanced just glad they agreed to the standard.
Just could do with a little help with what to fill in now for the review
My condition hasn't changed but some things have got worse i don't want to write too much or too little and loose what they have given me.
Also do they make you have another assessment i really struggled with that.
Any help would be great
Thanks

Treat your review as a new claim.
Add as much information as possible, you can always carry the information over onto A4 paper. Just remember to add your name and National insurance number onto any excess information you send.
Also send any relevant information such as consultant letters etc to back up what you say on the form if you have any.

You need to treat it as a new claim and give as much relevant information as possible. Please do not just write "no change" and nothing else.
You should use extra sheets of paper because there's never enough of room on those forms to include everything. Make sure you put your name and NI number on everything you send.
Make sure you include a couple of real world examples of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you. Adding detailed information such as, where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.
You can contact PIP to ask for extra time to return it and they will give an extra couple of weeks.
There are extemely long delays with review decisions so you could be waiting anything up to a year, sometimes longer for a decision. I returned my form last November and I'm still waiting. Your PIP will continue until a decision is made.
Most people have assessments so you should expect one of those. They are mostly by telephone, some are face to face or video.

Hey @slimjohn, I'm sorry to say but it really is in your best interest to treat it as a brand new claim. Leave nothing out, even if it was in the forms when you originally applied for PIP. It is also possibly that they may request a new assessment. I know this isn't what you want to happen, but I think it's better to start preparing for it than hoping for a paper-based decision.
Do you have anyone who can sit down and help you fill out the forms at all?
