Had to give landline number for new claim
I made a new claim for universal credit, it's a migration notice one, I had to put my landline number as I'm in a bad signal area for mobile, it doesn't work when I'm at home. I called in the jobcentre to ask about what Id I need and while I was there I told them the problem I have with the mobile, Lady said to click contact by email which I have as poppy kindly told me that, but then another lady butted in and asked if I have wifi calling which I do. Now I'm worrying if they misunderstood me and I've already put my landline number on which doesn't have wifi calling. At the end of the form it said we will call you in two to three days. I'm so confused and worried now,, can anyone advise as to why they would ask if I had wifi calling

WiFi calling is where your phone can use WiFi to make the phone call rather than cell signal. If you have a router in your house that gives you WiFi that is what they were asking. I think they should have just accepted using your landline or email address. If they attempt to call you via your mobile I would make it very clear that your preference is they use your landline or email address as you've requested in your preferences.

HI, well I'm thinking my mobile is the problem as I have it switched on to wifi and wifi calling all the time but still can't get calls or texts. On the form I put my landline number and I also ticked contact by email. I have left them a message on my account today and explained I have given my landline number and they can ring me on that but for them to please be aware it is a landline, I also put my mobile dosent work but I didn't put mobile number on form anyway just my landline. Do you think that will be ok, I'm 65 now and the old brain dosent work either lol. Thanks for reply

You gave them your landline number so that's the number they will ring you on. When you log into your journal you will be sent a code to your email address. I can't see there being any issues here.
