Successful PIP Tribunal
hi guys,
Since the DWP decided to take away my enhanced mobility last year, I went through all the motions, until tribunal.
It’s taken 12 months from stopping it to actually getting to trial
Here are my recommendations
Be consistent - Be Truthful - know what the descriptors mean and how they affect you on a daily basis
Don’t be embarrassed
My tribunal was by video, the judge and the 2 professionals were extremely helpful and friendly
The DWP rep said hardly anything except that they stand by the decision
The judge asked me a few questions and the doctors just about how far I could walk without pain etc
Be consistent in your answers tell them as explained in my MR letter bla bla bla they only ask you what they need to know they have all of the facts in front of them
The judge told me that she believes the DWP to be wrong reinstated my enhanced mobility but also awarded me standard living which was only 1 point off enhanced so it just goes to show you how bad the DWP are at making correct decisions
Keep going they want to drag it out to wear you down stay strong keep fighting keep consistent and you never know
I was awarded it for 5 years to be reviewed
Like I say don’t let them grind you down

Congrats! Really glad to hear it @sticks72 😁 It really does seem to me that sometimes the DWP just hopes people will give up before a tribunal. The fact they had nothing to bring to defend their decision is pretty shameful.

she was just there to make up the numbers I think.
it was actually nothing to be worried about.
like I say if people stick to their guns they should be ok.
I had no medical evidence or anything it’s not required.
the doctors on the panel know exactly what symptoms you have by the meds and doses you are on. They ask if I see specialists which I do twice yearly and that was good enough.
they didn’t need reports etc.the whole evidence thing is overkill.
it’s about you in your daily life and if everything is consistent like I say you should be ok.
thanks guys.2 -
Congratulations on your victory!
