Been awarded however…
Good morning
I’ve been awarded lower for both care and mobility. The problem is I believe I should be on enhanced more so for mobility.
I’m definitely going to ask them to reconsider. I was hoping to change my bath to a walk in shower due to me not been able to lift my leg over the bath. And also I’m stuck at home and can’t get out in the car we have due the pain it courses getting in and out.
would these points be helpful if I put them in the reconsideration letter?
thank you

Before going any further you need to look at where exactly you scored those points. Then you will be able to look to see where you maybe able to score more points needed for a higher award. The daily living and mobility part are added up separately.
I'd advise you to start here and have a read of this. It's long but it will give you a little more understanding of the descriptors and what they mean.
If you do decide to challenge the decision you should put this in writing, please do not ring to request it. You need to state where and why you think you should have scored those points.
When you filled out the form if you didn't give a couple of real world examples of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you then you should do that. Include detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.

thank you,
can I not ring and write a letter? Just to cover all grounds?

No, please do not ring because the moment you do that the time starts ticking and a decision could be made at anytime. They do not have to wait until they receive the letter.
Do you know where exactly you scored those points?

sorry for not getting back to you until now. I scored 11 for care and 8 for the mobility.
