Hi, my name is MiniCat!
I had a left Total Knee Replacement 8 days and was given paracetamol and Codine, I’ve stopped with Codine as it was making me sick, my knee/leg is painful and I’m struggling to sleep, I was told to keep the surgical stockings on for 6 weeks but the seem to cause more pain. Also was given exercises to do one of which was was to lie on flat surface bend my toes forward and lift my foot slightly but I just cannot lift my foot. I am walking up and downstairs and around the house so I assume I am doing ok.

Hi @MiniCat and welcome to the community. That's good that you're able to walk around the house but make sure you're not overdoing it. Be kind to yourself 😊 Have you spoken to your GP about your issues with the codeine and lifting your foot?

I don’t really understand how far on I should realistically be at this stage and no I haven’t spoken to go about foot or codine.
