Help with PIP forms?

Can anyone help with my query please?

Do Scope or any other charities help with filling out the PIP forms but on the telephone not face to face?

If they do, do they have the forms or does the client need to get the PIP forms themselves? And if so, would you advise ringing to get them (Iv heard they do a Mini assessment on the phone then hold that against you) or is it best to write in for them?

I’m asking for someone who wouldn’t manage a face to face appointment to fill in the forms, who would manage a telephone appointment but does such a thing exist?

Do Scope do these appointments at all? And I case I ever need to know about face to face ones do they carry these out and I’m in North Wales so where would be the nearest centre?

I would advise welfare rights or a law centre.

If they do offer this help then yes they would need to ask questions otherwise they won’t know anything about how their conditions affect them. It won’t go against them.

Regardless of which form the claim should be treated as a new claim and they should give as much relevant information as possible.

Include a couple of real world examples of exactly what happened the last time they attempted each descriptor that applies to them.

Adding detailed information such as where they were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.

Scope don't do appointments but our Helpline do regularly help people with their PIP applications. They can't fill out the form for you, but they can give advice with it. If you give them a call they could explain the level of detail and help they may be able to offer.
