Help with Son Moving Back In
Hi. I hope you are all well. I am receipt of PIP, and have a spare bedroom. My son is looking at moving back in to help with living around the house.
Would I lose my Housing Benefit part of UC and the single occupancy of my Council Tax.
Thanks for your help.

Your rent will be paid as part of UC known as housing element, not housing benefit. They are 2 completely different benefits.
If your PIP includes the daily living part there will be no non dependant deductions. As you have a spare bedroom the bedroom tax will be lifted. You will need to make sure you report the changes to UC once he moves in.
You will lose the single person discount for council tax.
There is a carers discount of 25% if he cares for you for at least 35 hours per week. You will need to ask to apply for this when you contact them about him moving back in. Assuming your PIP includes the daily living part.
