How likely is it the DMs will go against the assessor?
Hi all,
I just had my assessment and got the assessor report which recommends standard DL and enhanced Mobility.
I have 8 points recommended for DL so I'm wondering how often DMs go against the report as it'd be easy to knock me out of getting an award if they wanted. Worrying about this a little!
Thanks in advance

I can't comment on how the DM will treat the assessors report, mine was full of lies and contradictions so 0 (got standard at tribunal). If they go lower than the assessor, request the report (do this anyway) and then pursue a mandatory reconsideration (as for it to be recorded, or put the call on speaker and tell them you are recording (Co-Pilot in Word is good for this). Then they will have justify why it changed. All the evidence should be useful in the event you need to appeal (hopefully not). In any respect try not to worry, the fact you were assessed with awards should indicate a positive outcome.

Mostly they go with it but it has been know for them to go against it. Personally for myself and my daughter I've never known them go against it.

Hi @Binxjinx, welcome to the community. As others have said, it's usually quite rare for them to go against it. I'm sure it does happen sometimes, but it doesn't happen often and hopefully not in your case. Fingers crossed you get the result you're looking for! Keep us posted if you can 😊

The assessor report said 7 points ....but the DM changed to 8 .....said something along the lines of....if had a bath ( which I dont) wouldn't be able to get in and out of it.....so got an extra point .....since then last 2 reviews have not gone to assessment ...just DM and awarded the same
