Two of our daughters have disabilities. One has APD and wears head phones because of noise & epilepsy bowel problems My oldest daughter has ADHD and suffers from high anxiety's. I have Complex PTSD and ADHD from i was a child. I have put in for a transfer as something bad happened to our oldest daughter and she’s afraid. The stairs are far to dangerous for our other daughter as i get no warning when she takes a seizure. My anxiety has got worsened as I'm worrying and i know if i gets moved it will lift the pressure.

Hello @joe2, welcome to the community, I hope you'll enjoy your time here 😊

Sorry to hear something bad happened to your daughter, I hope she's doing as well as possible in the circumstances. It sounds like a transfer would be helpful to you all, it might be nice to have a fresh start somewhere. Fingers crossed you're not waiting too long.

Feel free to take a look around and get involved wherever you like. We've got lots of members who have been through all sorts, so I'm sure you'll find some common ground with someone. And if you have any questions about anything, ask away. We're a friendly bunch!

Would anyone know how to get extra points for the transfer list. I have 192 point awaiting complex needs points. I rang the housing right snd the girl was saying you can asked for something to go over someone with 300 points. But I can’t remember as i have that much in my head I can’t think straight.

I'm not too sure myself @joe2, but I'll pop your discussion into our housing section. Hopefully some of our members will know a bit more about it than I do and can offer some advice 😊

It might also vary a little between local authorities, sometimes the rules are slightly different in different places. Fingers crossed you can get things cleared up soon.

    Hi

If you have already had a disability review(Which is where the Complex Needs points come from) then all you can do is wait for a property to come available.

Have you had an Occupational Health assessment? Usually they will come to your home and see what can be done to help.

Due to the shortage in social housing even people with the highest banding & medical can be waiting quite a long time depending on the demand in your councils area.
