Fit note has been accepted but what next?
Hello,
My husband and I jointly applied for UC on the 9th August and I told them about my fit note in the application (I put it from 15 July 2024 to 30th January 2060 even though my fit note is indefinite) and it's now been accepted. What will happen next? Will I still have to have a WCA as the date on the Fit Note is so long? Will I still have to fill out a UC50 once we are on UC? When should I fill in the UC50, now or should I wait?
I know we're still in the transfer period between benefits (IS and HB to UC with HE). Many thanks in advance!

Yes, you will still need a WCA. The length of your fit note is irrelevant because it's not proof you have LCW.
The date it will apply from is the start of your UC claim which is 9th August. You need to wait for your work coach to refer you for the WCA, which is usually around 29 days after you provided the fit note.
Once this is done you'll receive a letter on your journal telling you that they've referred you. A few days later you will receive the UC50 form in the post.
There's one available online to download and print off but you should not return it until you receive the one in the post. If you do then it will be ignored.
Once you've returned that form you just need to wait, if you don't automatically qualify for LCWRA then you'll likely need an assessment because most people have them. They are mostly by telephone, some are face to face or video.
There's some information here.
You can also see the descriptors here for LCWRA
