It's £416.19/month. You haven't given any information for me to be able to advise you. I will need some information before I can do that.

Assuming this was your first work capability assessment and you didn't previously have LCW?

1/ What date exactly did you provide your first fit note?

2/ What date do you usually receive your money each month?

3/ Did you continue to provide fit notes the whole time without any gaps until a decision was made?

Your waiting period will be May/June, June/July, July/August.. LCWRA starts from 12th August to 11th Sept and first payment will be 18th September. No LCWRA element is owed.

As you're receiving earnings, if you didn't previously have the work allowance then you'll be owed some money from that. Money owed will be paid as a separate payment and often takes quite a few weeks to pay it.

If you already had the work allowance then no money is owed.

I had assumed you've had the decision, I'm guessing not? If you've had the assessment, once the report is returned a decision can take up to 12 weeks.

Please note, you will only be entitled to extra money if the decision is LCWRA. If it's LCW there's no extra money.

Hi @mum12, welcome to the community 😊 LCWRA isn't exactly straight forward if you've never dealt with it before. It's a bit different from most other benefits/elements as it is not paid out immediately but after 3 months, and then you aren't owed that 3 months either.

So it's understandable to be unsure about it. I hope Poppy has helped clear up the confusion over it.

If you do have any other questions please do ask away 🙂

With the waiting now nearly over, how are you doing right now?

No. If found to have LCWRA your first payment will be 18th September. If it takes longer than that for a decision then you will be owed some money from that date.

Please see my 2nd comment above.
