Are you saying they sent you the text instead of your partner? Do they have their mobile number? If so then it's likely to be an error and it should have been sent to your partner, not you. Unless you are their appointee and then I would expect it to be sent to you.

He said ge got one aswell but does this mean he won't be getting paper based assessment as I never got this text

A paper based assessment is still possible. It just means that his file has now been sent to the assessment providers.
The reason you didn't receive one of those texts is because you file probably wasn't sent to them and a decision maker made the decision without needing to send it across.

Yes my number is on his pip I think I'm worrying for him about his pip then next year it be mine again it's never ending story lol

I think it's because he's put new condition so more than likely they'll have him for assessment wear I put no chnage on mine

Then that will be why they texted you and not him. The majority of people have assessments, whether they put no change or report new conditions. You had a paper based assessment but they are quite rare still.

We phoned pip they gave us number witch we phoned the man on the phone said they r trying to find out weather it will be paper based or assmeant they only received his stuffsince weekend apparently

Ah yes, because your number is there they will text you all the information. They avoid sending personal information via text, so there isn't a way to tell who exactly they are talking about.
It may take sometime for them to decide which type of assessment will be most appropriate. How is your partner doing amidst all this?
Keep us updated and ask away with any other questions you have!

There are no timescales from now and they very rarely contact anyone for any evidence. All you can do is wait.
