Hello and UC Review Outcome - no answer from work coach?!
Hello,
New here!
I’m 47, have autism (Asperger’s), anxiety and depression, am unemployed and have been on LCWRA since June.
I had a UC review last Tuesday where I had to upload 4 months of PayPal statements (I had already uploaded 4 months of bank statements). I recorded the call so I could play it back from my own records and never did they say they were checking what I was spending my money on, only that they were checking that I didn’t have £6 or over in any accounts, and everything confirmed that was the case.
They also have a copy of my photo ID so they know it’s me.
I’ve seen other people hear back the same day on their journal that everything is good and claim will continue as usual. There is nothing dodgy about my financial dealings and yet they’ve not confirmed everything is in order and it’s driving me to distraction. I’ve asked them to let me know when I will hear and I was told it would be same day unless they had further questions.
I’m now wondering who I can contact via phone to get the answers I need because I can’t continue like this.
Any experience of the above? I would be very grateful for help with this. Thank you.

Hi @CatherineMC and welcome to the community 😊
Here are the phone numbers I found for contacting UC:
Universal Credit helpline
Telephone: 0800 328 5644
Textphone: 0800 328 1344
Relay UK (if you cannot hear or speak on the phone): 18001 then 0800 328 5644
British Sign Language (BSL) video relay service if you’re on a computer - find out how to use the service on mobile or tablet
Welsh language: 0800 328 1744
Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm
You can also contact them via your journal. I would try not to worry, it's probably just a normal delay and there's nothing wrong with your accounts.

It's not unusual for it to take quite a few weeks to hear back from them. To be clear capital of less than £6,000 is ignored, not less than £6.
All you can do is put a message onto your journal and ask them. There's no point ringing the UC helpline because all they will do is put a message into your journal and you can do that yourself. Whether you'll have a response is another question.

Hi, yes, thanks I meant £6k not £6 that was a typo and coding edit it for some reason!
I’ve read many forums where people did hear back same day and as both statements I uploaded showed I had no capital anywhere near that amount then I didn’t see why they couldn’t check quickly and see all was in order.

I meant “couldn’t” edit it…
